Proper care not only affects the life of the garment, but also the environment. More than 2/3 of the environmental impact during the life span of a garment is caused by cleaning and care. It is very easy to minimize your environmental footprint. We explain how you can sustainably care for your clothes.
CARE GUIDE
TENCEL™, REFIBRA™,
Organic cotton, linen
- Machine wash at low temperature: 30°C is gentle on the fibers and saves energy. Best with a biodegradable detergent.
- Avoid machine drying – better hang overnight in the fresh air.
- Dry cleaning not necessary.
- Iron with medium to high temperature.
Organic wool, kbT wool,
Loden wool, merino wool
- Avoid machine washing. Instead, dry it hanging in the fresh air.
- Wool is self-cleaning, especially in combination with fresh air.
- Treat stains acutely if possible – hand wash in cold water with preferably a biodegradable wool detergent.
- Do not dry in the dryer, sunlight or on the heater.
- To dry, squeeze gently and lay flat on towel.
- Iron at low temperature.
Thermo-active nylon
- Machine wash at low temperature and ecological waterproofing agent for weather protective clothing.
- Avoid machine drying – better hang overnight in the fresh air.
- Iron or steam at low temperature to generate thermoactive effect.
